Hi. I'm Nikita. Founder of Create Money.

Sometimes it does not exist, so you have to build it yourself.

INFP-T Recovering Shy Kid, Business Coach, and Creative Side Hustler.
I spend my days helping folks be more intentional about their business and personal finances, and my nights creating content for small businesses worldwide. I founded Create Money as a means of connecting with other creatives in a way that fits our busy lifestyles. My vision for the community is to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive space where we can share knowledge, make connections, build financial stability and have a little creative fun!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm so glad you're here!

You don't have to go at it alone

Our goal at Create Money is to ensure artists have the resources they need to thrive. While there are plenty of personal finance brands out there, we didn't feel that any quite served our unique needs- so we built it.

Questions people ask us

About surviving as an artist

This is such a personal question. Being a business owner can be a grind- accounting, customer service, tech, etc. There are dozens of things that need doing that have absolutely nothing to do with the art. For many creators, it's worth it. For others, it sucks the joy out of the things that they are passionate about.

As artists ourselves, we just can't ever imagine advising someone to give up what brings them joy. That said- we also recognize the need to eat and keep the lights on. In a case like this- we'd suggest use a hybrid approach- use a stable corporate role for security (pay bills, build savings) while actively developing your passion as a side hustle or freelance work until it can support you.

Generally speaking, start by pricing your work by combining material costs + (hourly rate x hours spent), adding a markup for profit, and factoring in market value, reputation, and overhead.
